Ebay item 3/23/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $4,150.00 (Reserve not met), 5 bids, 6 days left in auction, 83k miles on the odo.
Sellers comment:
Only 5,598 were produced. The color is Pale Primrose. Three wipers. The carpeting is new as are the floor mats. This is a Series 1 with 3 carbs, covered headlights, and blade knockoff true spoke wheels. This is a California car and as such is rust free with no holes in trunk or floor. There is an auto cooling system upgrade to prevent overheating, new Coker tires, dash, removeable faceplate radio/cassette works, etc. too numerous to mention, as well as competant Jag mechanic inspected including drive train, brakes, cooling system, gas tank. Gauges are all functional. Trunk area could stand a restore. Trunk light doesn't turn on. Not a show car but a great driver and head turner.
Vehicle Condition
Amazing overall condition. Fires right up every time.

Added extra numbers from data plate as per note from current owner/seller. In note was following information:
Pale primrose is the original color, the paint was redone. The cooling
system is a larger radiator, motor, pump, and it operates automatically with a small light indicator and has a master override switch if for some reason the system ever stopped working. The switch is a micro stealth install on the left of the steering column. Very professional, very necessary in Southern California if you need to actually drive the car.

When the owner traded this vehicle in, he stated that the mileage was accurate. No damage on vehicle, body is in excellent condition. The small door dings do not take away from the beauty of this vehicle. The vehicle looks as new as the day it was first sold. It appears to have always been garaged. This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission. The engine runs like a dream. The prior owner took great care of this vehicle's exterior. Rust free.

Back on eBay, December 2006:

"
I've owned this car for about 2 years, bought it from a dealer in El Paso Tx. for my father who has now passed on. I no longer have the space for this beauty. It was originally a California car, and I'll include the original Black Plate. It has been garaged and driven by me during the spring and fall months in Arkansas. Only time this car has been wet since We've owned it is when I wash it.
This is not a concourse car, but very presentable and a dependable daily driver. It's a true Series I car, (covered headlights, toggle switches, triple SU carbs, polished valve covers etc...the most desirable - but you know that if you clicked this auction) and proper except for a new alloy "Burp Tank" custom made from Classic Jag, and the starter. I have the original parts if you want them. I also have, and am including a full set of brand new Kevlar hoses, but I haven't put them on because it doesn't need them. This car is meticulously maintained by my best friend, Charles Bridges, who is the finest Jag mechanic I've ever known. Currently we have the carbs set a little bit rich for winter driving.
The rear compartment has been re-done with automotive carpeting at some point in its life, rather than the vinyl and rubber rails, but I do have the rubber rails if you want to put this part "right". The leather was re-done in high quality vinyl, so I couldn't bring myself to replace it - it just doesn't bother me. The car was re-painted primrose yellow, but I beleive its original color was "sand". There are no rust issues whatsoever and the body is incredibly solid. There is one spot on the rocker panel below the driver's side door where someone ran into something, I'll try to show this in the photos, but at twenty feet this car is stunning. You cannot drive this car without looks and thumbs-up from just about everbody you pass.
This car came from the factory with the rare Borg Warner automatic transmission."
