This left-hand drive E-Type was originally a US-delivered model, which is now located in the Netherlands.

The odometer currently displays 12,854 miles, however this is not warranted. 

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES 

This Series 1 E-Type 2+2 left the factory finished in Light Green over a beige interior, but has been resprayed in a vibrant shade of red, and the cabin has been retrimmed in black leather. 

It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels with two-spoke spinners, shod in Pirelli P77 white wall tyres. 

The factory specification includes a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, manually operated windows, toggle switches, Smiths gauges, push-out rear quarter light windows, and heater and ventilation controls. 

Factory-fitted automatic transmissions were available for the E-Type from 1966, and this car retains its original numbers-matching gearbox. 

The car will be accompanied by a spare wheel and a Production Record Trace Certificate from Jaguar Heritage Trust, confirming its original build date and specification. 

CONDITION 

The previously resprayed red paintwork is reported to be in generally good condition, though the seller notes very minor scratches, and a rust spot on the left door. There is also a hole on the front lower lip of the clam shell, minor pitting on the rear chrome light trim, blemishes on the offside rear and nearside front wheel arches, and imperfections on the offside rear valance behind the wheel arch.  

Inside, the reupholstered cabin is presented in good shape. There is some use-related creasing on the seats, very slight signs of wear on the edge of the driver’s seat upper bolster, an honest ‘patina’ across the dashboard trim, switches and gauges, cracking and delamination on the gear lever trim, mild stretching on the headlining, missing trim on the driver’s window winder, and a few other minor scuffs and signs of use around the trim.  

The seller is not aware of any mechanical or electrical faults.  

SERVICE HISTORY 

This E-Type’s most recent general inspection was carried out in October 2022 at an indicated 12,854 miles.

This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 2+2 is a smart and highly usable example of the iconic classic British sports car, which is offered fresh from a recent inspection.
