Car returns to ebay 10/20/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-4-2-2-2-1967-JAGUAR-2ND-OWNER-CAR-1ST-OWNE ...
Current bid $7,300.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 3 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Mechanical: The car runs excellent with no leaks. The entire car has only 43,200 miles on it. It does not smoke and the transmission shifts perfectly. Mechanically the car is in perfect working order. All electronics work as they should. The car does have the original 6 cylinder motor along with the original transmission. From what we know the only thing that has ever been done to either has been nothing beyond regular maintenance. Aside from a good detailing the engine compartment is in pretty good condition given the cars age.
Body: The body is completely original and from what we have gathered it has all the original body panels. The only thing that really keeps this car from being placed in the "survivor" category is the fact the car was repainted at one point. The paint is the original color the car came with from the factory. The undercarriage is also in great shape but could use a good detailing.
Interior: The interior I would say is in fair condition. The passenger seat appears to be in good shape but the drivers seat is coming apart at the threads in certain spots. The center console, gauges, and dash are all in excellent condition. The carpet however is a bit faded in areas. All of the glass through out the car is in fantastic shape and the weather stripping is also in great shape.
This is your chance to own a piece of automotive history which in turn was cared for and owned by one of the biggest legends in Country music history. This car would make an excellent piece for any collector or enthusiast. You can rest assured that this Jag will only continue to climb in value.
Previous auction ended at $9,101.00 (Reserve not met) after 28 bids.
