Car offered at:

www.autoscout24.com/offers/jaguar-e-type-1-5-2-2-gasoline-yellow-c20e1f31-a8f0-4 ...

Jaguar Type-E 1.5 2+2 - Full Matching - Excellent condition - 12 month warranty

4.2 in-line 6-cylinder engine - 4235 cm3 - 265 hp - 24 HP

4-speed mechanical gearbox

“Primrose Yellow” exterior - Black leather interior

First MEC: 01/01/1968

Mileage: 12,000 km

Chassis number: 1E78738

The car left the production lines in May 1968 and was delivered new to New York the following June. She then spent most of her life in California, in a climate favorable to good structural conservation. An American collector owned it for more than 20 years, between 1990 and 2013.

Our Type-E arrived in France via an import professional in 2013. Its first French owner bought it in 2014 and he embarked on major mechanical and bodywork work. The current owner buys it in 2022.

General: Excellent overall condition.

Exterior: The bodywork was restored in 2017, rigorous work with dismantling of the various elements, changing of the seals, etc. The painting was redone in its original color. The reassembly was carried out with precision to obtain the best possible alignments. The spoked rims and chrome are very well preserved.

Interior: The interior of this Type-E has a very nice appearance, nicely patinated. There is a crack on the edge of the driver's seat which merits local repair. Otherwise, the rest of the leather is in good condition, as are the carpets and the headliner. The dashboard was redone in 2017. The black color of the interior is also original. For better ease of use in France, the meter has been changed to km/h. A reversing camera has been discreetly installed to help during maneuvers. Finally, this Type-E is equipped with air conditioning and it works!

Mechanics: The car always has its “matching” mechanics, both for the engine and the gearbox. The 6-cylinder 4.2 works very well, it was completely redone in 2018 (rings, bushings, valves, etc.). An electronic ignition has been installed, which makes the car more reliable and makes starting much easier. The Type-E 4.2 box is much more pleasant to use than those fitted to previous 3.8 versions. On our example, the gearbox has also been taken care of (new bearings, clutch transmitter & receiver changed, etc.). In recent years, major repair work has been carried out on the running gear (silent blocks, shock absorbers, braking, etc.), to give this Type-E the best possible handling. The last revision dates back to June 2024, at the same time as the repair of the rack. The car is therefore up to date with maintenance.

Basements: The structure is sound, photos are available on request. According to the assessments carried out in 2014 and 2017, no trace of an accident was noted.
