Ebay item 7/9/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1970-Jaguar-XKE-Roadster-Project-Original- ...
Current bid $6,100 reserve not met, 25 bids 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I am listing this car for the second owner since 1970.

An original Air Condition car with 15,000 miles, this 1970 XKE was disassembled for a repaint in the mid 70's and returned to the owner unfinished after several years at the shop. The car was originally Maroon with Black interior and was repainted to a deep navy blue. From that time on the car has been in storage (about thirty years). It does have some rust in the usual places but should make a nice project. This car is being sold with the original engine and 4 speed trans that was running when removed. It also includes a ton of parts including NOS Lucas parts still in the box. It will also include an extra engine and automatic trans.

This is a great opportunity to obtain an early model XKE for a reasonable price.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
