Ebay item 7/8/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1979-Jaguar-XKE-Roadster-in-NW-Arkansas_W0 ...
Opening bid $19,950 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I acquired this XKE in 1989. It had 51495 miles and had undergone a recent restoration. I don't know what mechanical work was done. It has been driven less than 300 miles since, because it is too low slung for my 3/4 mile gravel road. My son in law needs the storage space, so it is now up for sale.
The paint, chrome, engine compartment, and interior look like new except for my comments. The paint is a deep red, not an orginal Jaguar color, and has a few chips around the intake mouth, and around the trunk rim. The is a minor ding on the right door that is too subtle to show in a photo. One emblem on the trunk lid is missing.
The left rear bumper guard is slightly bent and a photo showing this is included.
Top is a quality canvas that looks like new except for one smudge. The seats and interior are a tan velour and look like new. The door panels and center comsule look to be original.
The car runs great. the tires have less than 200 miles on them. The exhaust system is all stainless and polished. The spare wheel is the same quality chrome, but I don't know if all the tools are intact.
My reserve is on the low end of NADA. The car is presently located in the Eureka Springs, Arkansas area.
