Sellers description:
A two owner car that was originally owned by a Doctor in Bristol Connecticut and then sold to the current owner who has enjoyed it mostly on the weekends and driving through some the nicer New England country roads.
The car is all numbers matching, including the famous dual-cam head, six-cylinder cast iron block, smooth as silk four-speed transmission, the properly geared rear-end, perfect for country roadsides, and last but not least all of the original body panels and body tags. E-Type's where first car to ever enter the Modern Museum of Art. Growing up my father had one, I remember him showing me all the beautiful lines. He would have me wash the car up by the house which sat on a bit of a hill, and if you were coming up from the barn you would always get a different perspective, like it was sitting on top of a high stage. He would pull me aside and say look at it from here, look at it from this spot. So on and so on. I can remember him showing me the paint color as it changed from noon to dusk. In the collector car world where can you get more bang for your dollar? It also has the original hard top and even the Dunlop tubes that came from the factory; obviously the tubes are not still on the car, Lol there in a box. The current owner has done a terrific job of keeping track of all the service records and receipts since he owned it, giving us very good documentation and proof of the original mileage etc.
Throughout the years the difference parts of the body has been re-sprayed and we currently did the heavy lifting by properly repairing both the left and right side rockers, The car is rust free and by doing the rockers we were able to spend some time working with her. That's one of the reasons we're so confident of its current condition, also eliminating unforeseen surprises which would give us a sadder experience as history has shown. All of the original vinyl, leather and carpets are still in the car, including the soft top and chrome trim pieces. The black on silver color combination has never been changed from new and is a desirable color combo. If you're the type of person that details really matter, then this would be the type of car for you!
