For sale on Catawiki

Jaguar - E-type 4.2 Roadster - 1969
Lot reference 12088999

Closed 10/July/2017 - £63,369
Unsure about reserve and if sold or not.

Very nice Jaguar - 88,000 miles - matching numbers - Dutch registration - Dutch periodic vehicle inspection valid until June 2019 (the last one in The Netherlands).

Body style: Cabriolet/Convertible
Brand: Jaguar
Transmission: Manual
Fuel: Petrol
For fun and a good investment! A meticulously restored Jaguar with 265 (real) HP. Original colour combination (dark blue-pale blue int.). This car has a classy look with its navy mohair soft top and shiny chrome. The three carburetors (as it should) and the English 3.07 rear axle (also as it should) provides both sporty and quieter driving without the bothersome high rpm of the later types. The smooth 4 gears, the smell of leather and the ridiculously long bonnet do the rest, you are in England! Imported from Portland, Oregon in 1999 and since then everything has been addressed: total overhaul of the engine - transmission - brake system - front and rear axles - all bearings and seals - all hoses - Konis (6) all around - new windshield - lots of new coats on bare metal - new spoked wheels - lighting - and last but not least a speedometer calibrated to km so you no longer need to do maths en route. Very pretty! The photos speak for themselves.

Chassis: 1R 11428.
Engine: 7R 8170 - 9.
Transmission: KE 9446.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
