Seen on eBay. Ad reads:
Vehicle Description
This is a one of a kind Jaguar. British racing green with tan interior. This car was purchased by a tech company CEO and sat inside an office building conference room for many years!!!!!! When the company merged the car sat unattended in the conference room for a further 2 years. I finally persuaded the company to sell me the car. Amazingly the car was running when bought. I removed the car to the work shop of a JCNA judge who performed an extensive $10,000+ mechanical restoration/upgrade (the body and interior where already in fabulous condition). Most parts appear original and the motor is a match. The floors have been replaced. The car shows 71,000 miles and has never been hit. The radio is out but I have a replacement. Car has power steering and the pump has slight leak. The car is not concourse but is an excellent driver. I have seen these cars on ebay sell in the low $20K’s and not nearly the quality of this vehicle. I encourage you to email any questions and if you are a serious buyer come test drive a legend.
Vehicle Condition
MOTOR The motor was rebuilt with new forged pistons, polished block, polished heads, etc. (this guy builds 4.2 liters for SCCA racing). The pistons are .030 over, the main and rod bearings are .010 over. All new or rebuilt engine components. DRIVELINE The 4-speed was removed, inspected and the only requirement was seal replacement. All drive shaft universal joints are new. New clutch, rebuilt brakes, etc. OTHER Total front end rebuild, Original factory a/c upgraded with all new hoses, expansion valve. Condenser and evaporator leak and pressure checked. Original cast iron compressor replaced with modern compressor and custom bracket (original available). Dual carbs replaced with triple carb set up (original carbs, air box and cross over available.) There is also a new 4-core HD radiator and battery. This car does not have some hidden slow drain on battery and of course the clock even works.

1970 XKE E-Type Jaguar Series 2 OTS Convertible, Excellent Condition
This is a one of a kind Jaguar. I bought it in 2000 while I lived in Florida. Moved to Boston in 2003. Car is in Boston. This car was purchased by a Jag-nut, tech company CEO and sat inside a class-A office building conference room for many years!!!!!! When the company merged the car sat unattended in the conference room for a further 2 years. (talk about air-conditioned storage, even the cleaning people dusted it). I finally persuaded the new company to sell me the car in 2000. Amazingly the car was running when bought. I removed the car to the work shop of a JCNA judge who performed an extensive $13,000+ mechanical restoration/upgrade (the body and interior where already in fabulous condition considering the age). Then came more work including some body rust, exhaust, tires, etc.
All well worth it though, as it is currently in excellent diving condition. This car is smoooooth. I highly recommend all autos have their tires trued AND balanced on the car. I am amazed while doing 100mph, unbelievable silky ride. Enuf!
Most parts appear original and the motor is a match. The floors have been replaced. The car now shows 72K+ miles and has never been hit. Car has power steering , power brakes and air conditioning.
The car is not concourse but is an excellent driver. The sound is quieter and the resonators are really COOL.
MOTOR
The motor was rebuilt with new forged pistons, polished block, polished heads, etc. (this JCNA guy builds 4.2 liters for SCCA racing). The pistons are .030 over, the main and rod bearings are .010 over. All new or rebuilt engine components. The dual carbs work fine but I have mounted triple carbs (and oh baby does it fly).
DRIVELINE
The 4-speed transmission was removed, inspected and the only requirement was seal replacement. All drive shaft universal joints are new. New clutch, rebuilt brakes, ball joints, usual stuff, etc.
INTERIOR
The interior is excellent with the exception of a minor dash tear, cracked plastic a/c housing, no radio is installed. Leather, rugs, console, and door panels are all very nice. Small ¼" tear in convertible top.
BODY
The body is a "no-hit" body and in excellent condition. The floors have been replaced and there was some minor rust in the rockers, this was ground down, cut-out and new metal welded in place. I also replaced the corroded battery tray. Other repairs included some bubbling on the rear passenger fender wheel arch. Now, this car has no other rust, except for a small place in the passenger wheel well. Car paint is good, some cracking but not waving, and all panels fit well. Engine frame is industrial finish and radiator shroud is original black wrinkle finish (powder coated not sprayed).
OTHER
Total front end rebuild, Original factory a/c upgraded with all new hoses, expansion valve. Condenser and evaporator leak and pressure checked. Original cast iron compressor replaced with modern compressor and custom bracket (original available). "COLD AC" until small evaporator leak (I have not repaired since I now live in Mass). There is also a new 4-core HD radiator and new battery. Electric motors, switches and connections disassembled, cleaned, any necessary parts replaced and re-installed. ALL New stainless steel exhaust system installed, including resonators, hangers and brackets. Pirelli P4000 205/70 R15 tires (correct Cat Paw look, not the 190/75s), Nardi steering wheel and original spare tire tool kit.
I am selling the car because I am moving to a home with only a 2 car garage, I have two kids and a new baby. The car needs the parking brake fixed and you will probably eventually want to replace the rear brake rotors. This is a nice, fast, beautiful Jag. I am selling other items so check out my other auctions.
TERMS: Car is still registered in Florida. Vintage License plate is not included. I am an aerospace & mechanical engineer and vintage car fan so I know my stuff and this is a keeper.

Sellers description:
Car was bought in FLORIDA and is my garage in St. Louis, MO.
Heritage certificate in process. I have owned this car for nearly 10 years and have put minimal miles on it. The car was purchased in the 1980s by a tech company CEO (and Jag-nut) and sat on his company’s balance sheet. It sat inside a class-A office building conference room for many years!!!!!! When the company merged and went public the car sat unattended in the conference room for a further 2 years. (talk about air-conditioned storage, even the cleaning people dusted it). I finally persuaded the new company to sell me the car when they moved to a larger building. Amazingly the car was running when bought. I removed the car to the work shop of a JCNA judge who performed an extensive $15,000+ mechanical restoration/upgrade (the body and interior where already in fabulous condition considering the age). Then came more work including some body rust removal, exhaust, tires, etc.
All well worth it though. It is an excellent driver and has been virtually trouble free for over the last 10 – years. Oil is changed often and grease points are hit every time. This car is smoooooth. I highly recommend all autos have their tires trued AND balanced on the car. I am amazed while doing 100mph, unbelievable silky ride.
Car is mostly original and the motor is a match. The car now shows 73K+ miles and appears to never been hit. In 2005 I had an insurance claim on the move to MO for some minor dings/dents received in the moving truck. That’s right, this car was moved inside a moving semi with my household goods. Nothing serious but it supplemented the $4500 in body / paint.
I am an aerospace engineer. It is important that it runs good as much as looks good so nothing is spared in detail. I even had the radiator fan shroud recoated in industrial powder coated crinkle paint like factory new. The engine mount frame was painted with specialty blended PPG that is hydraulic fluid resistant.
DRIVELINE
The 4-speed transmission was removed, inspected and the only requirement was seal replacement. Rear end opened inspected and new fluids in place. All drive shaft universal joints replaced, rebuilt brakes, ball joints, usual stuff, etc.
OTHER
Total front end rebuild, Original factory a/c upgraded with all new hoses, expansion valve. Condenser and evaporator leak and pressure checked. Original cast iron compressor replaced with modern compressor and custom bracket (original available). “COLD AC”. There is also a new 4-core HD radiator and new battery. The electrics are excellent and of course the clock even works. Electric motors, switches and connections disassembled, cleaned, any necessary parts replaced and re-installed. ALL New stainless steel exhaust system installed, including resonators, hangers and brackets.
INTERIOR
The interior is very good with the exception of a minor dash tear, cracked plastic a/c housing, new after market radio/CD palyer (not installed). Leather, rugs, console, and door panels are all very nice. Small 1/2” tear in convertible top.
BODY
The body is a “no-hit” body and in excellent condition. $4500 was dedicated to an already great body to remove minor dings, etc and replacement of hood chrome. The Car was originally Willow Green but now entirely B-R-G. The floors have been replaced and there WAS some minor rust in the rockers (as seen in pictures) this was ground down, cut-out and new metal welded in place. I also replaced the corroded battery tray. Now, this car has no other rust!!! (NO RUST). The repairs included both rocker sides and some bubbling on the rear passenger fender wheel arch. Paint was then expertly blended and you can’t see the difference. There is only a small ding in rear quarter panel (again, as shown in the pictures). The engine mount frame was painted with specialty blend PPG that is hydraulic fluid resistant.
OUTSTANDING ISSUES WITH THE CAR
1) No original radio/speakers. Vintage jag radio available for about $100.
2) Some day the driver rear brake rotor will need replaced, probably the other too. (Bembo $99). Parking brake needs redone as well.
4) A/C evaporator housing cracked up (only aesthetics).
5) small dent in rear quarter (as mentioned earlier).
6) Needs Wheel Well Rugs

Car returns to ebay 2/5/16
www.schwarzltd.com/)
30 over, special pistons, hard setted values (can use unleaded)
New Clutch~ 5,000 miles on rebuilt motor/clutch
New fuel lines, gas tank and filters
Rebuilt carbs
Reworked brakes
Engine bay painted in industrial grade PPG paint (resists even hydraulic fluid)
New radiator
Fan shroud repainted in correct crinkle black
Rust in lower panels cut out and welded replacement metal
THIS IS IMPORTANT - Correct Pirelli tires.
New ignition, hoses, heat shield, small stuff, etc.
The car's paint and interior is decent. There is some paint cracking on bonnet nose (no rust or putty). A chip and nick here and there. There is a small tear in the top. The emergency brake is weak. Nothing to serious. This is a great driving car and the ultimate classic.
