    Ebay item 7/17/08
    www.hymanltd.com/

    Sellers description:
This handsome 1970 Series II Jaguar XKE Roadster was a one owner California car, purchased recently by us form the original owner. It has never been restored, just carefully maintained and preserved, and runs and drives well, with superb mechanics. Repainted once, it is original and tidy underhood and comes with a truly impressive package of documentation including its original sales invoice, lubrication chart, registration receipts, books, records and repair receipts. This is a great, original, running and driving E-type with a quality old repaint that is nearly impossible to find these days. It looks and drives like a ten year old used car, which is pretty unusual for a car that's nearly forty. Restored cars are not hard to find, but great original cars such as this rarely come along, particularly from the original owner.

just gathering info on my car 1r11917 ,was wondering if your car was bought in san francisco at bmc.if you would'nt mind sending any info on your car ,I dont have much on mine.It struck me that these two cars might have spent time next to each other in the dealership, maybe even sold by the same salesman!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
