Private Party Or Dealer: Private Party

This 1970 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was produced in January 1970 and is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in silver over black and equipped with chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, a heater, and a Blaupunkt cassette radio. The interior was refreshed during previous ownership and the vehicle was acquired by the seller in 2017. This XKE is now offered with a CD of refurbishment photos and a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in silver and features a replacement black soft top that was installed during previous ownership. Additional features include chrome bumpers with overriders, a vented hood, exposed headlights, and tail lights positioned below the bumper.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared Jaguar-script knock-offs and are wrapped in 185-15 Michelin X redline tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes and the shock absorbers are noted to have been replaced during prior ownership.

The seating surfaces have been reupholstered in black leather and matching replacement carpets were also installed during prior ownership. Amenities include an aftermarket Blaupunkt cassette radio with speakers mounted in the center stack, a heater, and a wood shift knob.

A refinished wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer indicates 34k miles, only a handful of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual sidedraft carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. A replacement exhaust system was installed during prior ownership.

Engine block stamping 7R10418-9 matches the number shown on the data plate.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
