This car is about 95% finished. It's gorgeous!

Really nice! What finish did you use on the front suspension "wishbones"?

2006-08-30 21:28:49 | Anonymous writes:

The silver colored pieces are cadmium plated

The suspension wishbones are zinc plated, as are all the suspension parts. Cadmium is not correct for these items.

My understanding has always been that the wishbones were cadmium plated from the factory , although zinc with clear passivation is now often used as a substitute, because cadmium platers are now a rarity

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
