Sellers description:
Up for auction is an Excellent 1970 Jaguar E-Type Roadster With Triple SU Carbs and Hard Top!
The paint and chrome shows nicely and is in excellent condition. The Everflex convertible top is original and is in good condition with only a small tear. The black canvas top cover is new. There is a hard top included in with the car. The 5 chrome wire wheels are excellent as well as the tires. The car has no rust. The floors, sills and bonnet are rust free. The engine was rebuilt by the p/o and has excellent oil pressure. The exhaust is good. A new fuel pump was installed and the triple SU carbs were rebuilt last winter. The radio doesn't work.
The leather interior and the carpets are in good condition but would benefit from a good cleaning. All the instruments work properly including the clock. The speedo shows 35,957 miles. The speedo works, but I have no way to confirm the mileage. Judging from the condition of the car, I am lead to believe it is actual. The car was repainted at some point and is still in good condition. The doors close effortlessly and the gaps are nice.
The car runs and stops beautifully and has an amazing exhaust tone. This an opportunity to get into a no excuses Jaguar.
