Sellers comment:
This 1970 XKE Series II Roadster is a beautiful driver. I have owned ten XKE’s over the years and this is a nice one. It has a brand new complete rebuild on the engine, rebuilt carbs, new clutch, new universals, etc. I have all $8000 worth of receipts as I have personally supervised the work. The car is in superb mechanical condition. It runs awesome with only 100 miles since the rebuild. The paint is bright and shiny but not perfect. I think the leather interior is original. It has no rips or tears and is still soft. There is some wear on the top of both seats where the seat belt comes over, otherwise the leather is very nice and presents well. The dash is excellent. The wire wheels are as new with Michelin red lines at 50% tread. The top is cloth and in excellent condition including the plastic.I bought this car last spring to personally keep and enjoy, but our executive home sold unexpectedly along with my large shop. I have nowhere to properly keep this car as we are moving to a smaller home with a two car garage and no shop. They call it semi-retirement! I am pricing this car at a loss to me as I want to sell it quickly before we move. It is a real head turner! This is a terrific car for someone who wants a nice dependable driver to own and enjoy.

Car was from Michigan but apparently was last licensed in Utah.
The story I got was the owner lives in Matzalan Mexico but the government wanted a 75% importation fee to bring the car in to Mexico so he has his brother in law in Tucson selling it for him.
Car appears to be a decent driver but has a lot of cosmetic details wrong, some of which are visible in the photos.
