This stunning original righthand drive 1970 Jaguar E-type Series II with a build date of 3rd December 1969 still holds its original registration number of HHC 539H. Available from small private collection, this car was initially purchased through the original dealer, Willets (Eastbourne) by Mr. I. Panto of Hove, Sussex on 27th January 1970, this was midway through the very limited Series II production (1968-1971). This example comes with a J.D.H.T Heritage Certificate confirming these details and its original colour scheme of Signal Red with black interior and hood.
Accompanying this car is a large history file with invoices dating back to 1981 and MoT test certificates to 1975 verifying the mileage as correct. This is a very original, well maintained and non-modified car, it was subject to a sympathetic restoration over the past three years that included body and paintwork, a full retrim, new hood and a full mechanical overhaul, this appreciating classic is truly ready for many years of enjoyment.
It is very unusual to find an E-type with the optional and, expensive at the time, chrome disc wheels. This example is also in stunning condition throughout, with no known faults and is described by the vendor as having an ‘out of the factory’ feel. The Series II E-Types have many improvements over the Series I cars; better lighting, brakes and cooling and importantly an improved gear change and smoother engine all adding up to a much improved and refined car.
* Our vendor has stated that for an agreed price he will offer a mechanical warranty with the purchase of this vehicle, this is testimony of the quality of this example which is simply magnificent.

Seller's description:
1970 Jaguar E Type 4.2 litre OTS Convertible For Sale
Vin Number: 1R 1478
Registration Number: HHC539H
Price: £120,000
A lovely car restored some years ago & very little used since. This is a very late production series 2 & unusually comes with the optional pressed chrome wheels later found on the incoming V12 models.
Accompanying this car is a large history file with invoices dating back to 1981 and MoT test certificates to 1975 verifying the mileage as correct. This is a very original, well maintained and non-modified car, it was subject to a sympathetic restoration over 3 years that included body and paintwork, a full retrim, new hood and a full mechanical overhaul.
The car is of course in impeccable order thoughout. Brand new black leather is installed to the interior along with black carpets & door cards. Exterior paint is signal red as when new. The car is matching numbers/colours as it left the factory.
All mechanics were rebuilt at the time of restoration resulting in a strong engine with ample power from the crisp twin cam straight six engine breathing though triple carburettors. A new black mohair top completes the ensemble.
Assorted paperwork comes with the car including a Jaguar heritage certificate & MOT certificates backing up the minimel mileage covered since restoration. The car is part of a 50 car collection & whilst regulary exercised few miles are covered each year.
The Series II E-Types have many improvements over the Series I cars including better lighting, brakes and cooling and importantly an improved gear change and smoother engine along with more comfortable seats & more room inside.
