private Sale

Uckfield, East Sussex, United Kingdom

This Jaguar E-Type is a beautifully designed classic British sports car which has been with the seller for the last 18 years.

It is powered by a triple-carburetted 4.2-litre inline-six, delivering 265bhp and 283lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The five-digit odometer shows 2,074 miles, though supporting invoices show that the odometer has ‘rolled over’.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

The car is finished in red over a black leather-trimmed cabin.

It rides on a set of 15-inch wire wheels, secured with twin-eared knock-offs.

Equipment includes pop-out rear windows, a wooden-rimmed steering wheel, and an Alpine radio-cassette player.

A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted.

Accompanying the sale is the original handbook, a folder of invoices and historic MOT test certificates, the spare wheel, and one key.

CONDITION

Specific notes from the seller include: ‘pimples’ on the rear wheel arch, a bubble on the bonnet, and signs of wear on the seats.

The seller also states that the vehicle was resprayed under previous ownership, and invoices detailing previous bodywork repairs are visible in the photo gallery.

The most recent MOT test was conducted on 11 April 2024 at an indicated 1,941 miles, resulting in a clean first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

The car was last serviced in April 2024 at an indicated 1,941 miles by Chariots Engineering in Clayhill, who replaced the front brake callipers, hoses, clutch master cylinder, tyres and tubes, and windscreen washer pump.

Prior to this, services were carried out in April 2022 at 98,789 miles, April 2021 at 96,398 miles, and March 2020 at 95,148 miles.

Winning bid £30,250
