Sold by Fayreoak Classics of Cheltenham in June 2023. Amended seller's description below.

www.fayreoak.com/autos/1969-jaguar-e-type-s2-fhc/

Restored Jaguar E Type FHC with matching numbers. Built 4 November 1969, it left the factory finished in Signal Red with Black trim. Supplied to P J Evans Birmingham. In the early 1990s the timing chain failed and the car was then put into storage, not coming out until the 2000s. The car was later restored and when finished passed to its current owner in 2017. The current owner has had the car serviced every year since, and kept a record of every trip undertaken. He has fitted Torino wheels, a high torque starter motor and a Webasto sunroof. Anyone who has driven an E Type on a hot day will appreciate this option. It comes with a current MoT.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
