This truly magnificent E-Type is offered for sale here in the original colour scheme of Old English White with Black leather interior and has been the property of one custodian for 30 years. Also during this period it has benefitted from over £100,000 being spent on restoration and maintenance. This is clearly a very significant expenditure and not a penny has been wasted and the result is truly exceptional. New suspension, a brake upgrade, new tyres & wire wheels and a fully detailed engine bay complete the car; however, the magic ingredient of EMC 837J is the way it goes. This comes courtesy of a precise GETRAG 5-speed gearbox and a new lower diff; together these added up to around £5000. These are coupled to the totally refurbished 4.2 litre engine and we are faithfully informed that the result is a comfortable 100mph at 2500rpm. Safely returned from a recent European tour throughout which it caused no trouble, EMC 837J has just been serviced, tuned and MoT'd by Dorset based specialists, Hollygrove Jaguar, who testify to the incredible condition of this car.
The full photographic record of the car's rebuild over the years is available to view with the history file, as are the mountain of receipts and invoices. Now offered for sale at a very realistic guide price, this Jaguar E-Type is worthy of serious consideration from someone who appreciates the driving experience offered by these wonderful cars.
