If you're looking for a restoration project car with great history, then look no further as we can now offer this E Type Series 2 Lord Mayor's Parade car driven by Graham Hill. Let's start with its history, a Series 2 E Type manufactured on 13th April 1970. Finished originally in Sable with Black interior trim, it was sold by Halls of Finchley. In 1973, it was one of four selected for the Lord Mayor's Parade; subsequently the driver on this day was none other than Graham Hill. Some 7 years later in November 1980, the car was unfortunately involved in a road accident, albiet the vast majority of the car was untouched however a substantial part of the front end was written off.

The car boasts an outstanding history file, from its original order form from Halls of Finchley stating its original specification and upgrades; newspaper clippings highlighting its crash and the street map and programme for the Lord Mayor's Parade. Furthermore it contains letters with Jaguar about the purchase and further letters from Lofty England, managing director of Jaguar on problems that accrued after purchase and how Jaguar would solve them. In addition the history file has detailed documentation on the car's crash, including a folder dedicated to solicitors letters, quotes and pick up letters, running from the crash in 1990 to resolution in 1984.

The car currently sits in a sorry state. Its bonnet and all fittings are missing, engine frames are damaged and there is possible damage to the bulkhead. The suspension is misaligned. The car is being sold as a restoration project with many items that are missing or will need replacement. However with a bit of work and time spent on restoration this car could be amazing.
