For sale at Bill Rawles Classic Cars of Medstead for £92,500. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.billrawlesclassiccars.co.uk/jaguar-e-type-series-2-low-mileage/

A Series 2 FHC in fantastic original condition that has been maintained and looked after by Bill Rawles personally since 2014. This E Type has covered just 36,500 miles from new making it one of the lowest mileage unrestored E Types for sale today. It has a brilliant history file tracing mileage as well a s letter exchanges between Jaguar and the owner, Mr Dangerfield discussing the warranty on his newly purchased E Type, it also contains a large number of invoices and receipts for work done over the years. The first owner had the car for 23 years until he passed away and it was in storage for 3 years after that. Never restored or taken apart it has been used sparingly ever since, a unique car.

Structurally sound with no signs of corrosion underneath, the bodywork overall is in great condition and due to its age and lack of restoration there are only a couple of points you can pick up on. It is not perfect everywhere but this adds to the character of the car. It benefited from a diff rebuild, tune and set up a few years ago and has only been used on dry weather days and is kept inside at all times. It is a matching numbers RHD UK E with a brilliant history and truly unique mileage. In great mechanical order it is a fantastic drive, right and direct and gives great confidence on country roads and motorways.

I am delighted to offer this amazing opportunity to own a UK RHD 1970 Jaguar Etype series 2 coupe offered in original condition ( Looks like a restored car) and having only 37, 000 miles from new.

This beautiful example has been part of a couple of private car collections from new and has been used sparingly hence the wonderful condition and low miles, the car comes with a large history file full of bills, service records, old MOT certificates.

More information to follow once I’ve been through the files and please not that I tool the photos as it came out of my storage and so it’s not clean or polished yet so imagine what it’s going to be like when that’s been done, there is no rust it’s just a and it’s a five owner car from new !

This car needs to be viewed as the photos don’t do justice as it’s absolutely stunning in the flesh!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
