Opening bid $5,000, reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
69 JAGUAR XKE CPE, BRITISH RACING GREEN WITH A LT BEIGE INTERIOR. I'VE OWNED THE CAR SINCE 2001 AND THE PRIOR OWNER WHICH WE BELIEVE TO BE THE THIRD OWNER OWNED THE CAR SINCE THE LATE 70'S. THE ODOMETER WAS REPLACED ALONG THE WAY SO I AM NOT SURE OF THE EXACT MILEAGE. THE CAR DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A HIGH MILEAGE CAR BECAUSE OF ITS GREAT CONDITION. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN GARAGED KEPT SINCE I'VE OWNED IT AND THE PRIOR OWNER DID THE SAME. THE ENGINE HOLDS A GOOD 40 LBS @3000 RPM AND NO SMOKE. THE REST OF THE DRIVETRAIN THE TRANS, CLUTCH, REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND BRAKES ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE INTERIOR IS LIKE NEW BECAUSE IT IS ONLY 6 OR 7 YRS OLD. THE PAINT IS A GOOD 20 FOOTER. THERE IS CHECKING ON BOTH DOORS AND ROCKER PANELS. BOTH DOORS HAVE SOME RUST SPOTS IN THE LOWER PART OF THE DOOR PANEL. THE DRIVERS FOOT WELL IS STARTING TO GET SOME RUST SPOTS IN THE USUAL PLACES. THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS IN SOLID CONDITION WITHOUT ANY MAJOR RUST PROBLEMS. THE CHROME IS IN GOOD SHAPE ALONG WITH THE CHROME WIRE WHEELS. ITEMS NOT CURRENTLY WORKING ARE ARE THE HEADLIGHTS, HORN, RADIO, INTERIOR LIGHTS AND SOME OF THE PANEL SWITCHES. TIRES ARE COKER GOLD LINE WHICH ARE ALMOST NEW. I WOULD RATE THIS CAR A SOLID #3 OVERALL

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
