Current bid US $17,100 reserve not met 29 bids 7 days left in auction. 22k miles, seller classiccars-online
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE Coupe (Series II).
Classic Cars Online is helping the estate of the past owner with the presentation and listing of this vehicle.
You will be purchasing this vehicle from the estate of the owner who has passed away. The vehicle has been stored and not driven for decades. "Fresh Barn Find". It was recently removed from storage and brought to a local Jaguar Restoration company for them to assess, evaluate and appraise. (The vehicle is still located at the Jaguar Restoration shop.)
This '69 Jaguar XKE is a series II "Fixed Head Coupe". (FHC) It is a "Left Hand Drive" (LHD). This coupe is only showing 22,191 miles on the odometer. These are believed to be the original miles. The factory numbers on the drivetrain have been checked, and this is a matching number vehicle. (Original engine, etc...) The vehicle still retains the twin Strombergs carburetors. It is equipped with Air Condition. The 4.2 litre engine is currently locked up. The restoration shop is soaking the cylinders at this time. As you can see from the photos, vehicle has rust issues in certain areas and will need to be addressed. This is a good candidate for a full restoration. The car was repainted once in the 1970's where at that point, the door handles and emblems where removed. (Shaved. This customization was pretty typical back then.) The leather interior looks to be all intact and still there including the factory wood steering wheel. The vehicle has the Jaguar wire wheels including the spare wheel.
