Ebay item 4/14/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6,050.00 (Reserve not met), 4 bids, 6 days left in auction. 130k miles on the odo. Sellers says the title is "salvage" yet says there is no evidence of an accident..
Sellers comment:
1969 Jaguar (XKE) coupe straight six (4.2L)--the last model to feature this engine. This is my father-in-law's and I am selling it for him. He has owned it since 1975. The car is garaged in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and is driven periodically to keep the battery and mechanics up. It has 8,000 miles on a rebuilt engine and the frame and body have 130,000 original miles. The time has come to sell it. The car is a pleasure to drive and I am impressed when stopped at an intersection and I find everyone looking at the car I'm driving!
Vehicle Condition
It drives very well, brakes are excellent, steering tight, transmission shifts. Though it is not a show car, it will make a great car for the E-Type enthusiast. The dash needs some repair and there is a small rust bubble on the hood. All doors, rear hatch, and hood line up correctly and there is no evidence of any accidents. The car has five original wheels with new tires. Wheels have been regularly tuned and there are no loose spokes. There is also a tool kit.

Additional car info 3/15/04
Car was titled as salvage because it was in a flood in CA. Water did not get into the motor and was running right after the flood. The car was put into a paint booth oven for 2 days , after whhich the interior was completely replaced. Original owner purchased it back from the insurance co. and repaired above damage.
