This car was titled to me in 2009. Prior to that it was owned by my father, Robert Reid, who purchased it in El Paso, Texas in 1986.

Ebay item 1/6/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XKE-2-Seat-Coupe-/330854141586
Current bid $17,100 reserve not met, 11 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Lake Bluff, Illinois. 59k miles.
Sellers description:
This example is the more desirable 2 seat coupe refinished in silver metallic and sporting rare optional chrome wheels. The car has been in one family for over 22 years with records back to 1991. The motor is the original numbers matching from the Heritage Trust Certificate. A Tremic 5 speed transmission has replaced the original four speed making for better highway cruising. We have tested the body with a magnet for bondo and found that the magnet sticks to all body panels. The paint is a non-original silver metallic with some fade and orange peel but presentable. There are also some paint blemishes and touched up chips so this is not a show car but is one of the best driving Series 2 E types we have driven. The oil pressure is excellent, all gauges and switches work. The car has factory AC but it would need a freon recharge as it does not blow cold. The original jack, lug wrench, and owners manual is with the car. MILEAGE STATED IS THAT SHOWING AND NOT CLAIMED AS ORIGINAL
