Sellers description:
This is an exceptional E-Type. It has been driven regularly its whole life and continues to be driven regularly. It has spent almost it's entire life in southern California and is rust free. You can look under the floorboards, wheel wells, spare tire, battery or anywhere else and not find rust. This car comes complete with the original dealer's bill of sale, original owners manual with lube chart, service information, etc, every repair reciept since new, and every registration card since new. I have over $20,000 in reciepts from the last few years. work done includes: complete brake overhaul, triple SU carburator setup installed, a complete new Bartlett Jag leather interior installed including dash pad and headliner, complete rear end overhaul with a 3:07 ratio for better driveability (lower highway rpm's), brand new clutch, overhauled the radiator cooling motors (piece of mind), flushed and recoated the radiator, new interstate battery, powder coated the heater box battery tie down and radiator cooling fans support, stainless steel exhaust to include new porcelain on the manifolds, electronic ignition, all new rubber seals, new British Autowood steering wheel and shifter (gorgeous), and a complete new tuneup. This car can be driven anywhere. This is a numbers matching car.

Vehicle Condition
This car is extremely driveable. The motor starts right up, has perfect oil pressure, and no blue smoke. It does, however, leave a small oil spot on my garage floor (typical). The brakes and steering work exactly as they should. The new slightly thicker steering wheel really improves the driving experience. The clutch is new. The car passes the safety inspection as all headlights, wipers, washer, etc work properly. The body has had one respray over the original sable paint and it looks good although it doesn't hold a shine for more than a couple of weeks. It will polish to a beautiful shine but it doesn't last. For this reason, I have taken the pictures with the car in it's "Less shiney" state. All gap lines are good. The engine compartment is unmolested and has the original paint which is very nice. The interior is wonderful. This car can be driven anywhere and does not need restoration. It can be enjoyed exactly as it is or a fresh respray would make it perfect. Again, This car does not need to be restored.

Hi there, since Nov.2004 the car is located in Germany. I'm now looking for old pictures and any oter information concerning the car. Maybe somebody has contact to former owners...or one of the owners can help himself...

Christoph

Oh, what a shame. :( A car is original only once! This was such a lovely survivor that had survived five over five decades with it's original paint, interior trim and all chrome, wheels and details. What can I say. We admired it very much with friends in 2016 in Helsinki. Now it is gone forever!
