Ebay item 1/4/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WONDERFUL-Jaguar-E-type-XKE-Fixed-Head-Coupe-6-cyl-A-C-4 ...
Opening bid $20,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
37 years (1970-2007) with just one owner
Delivered new with air conditioning and 4-speed
Wire wheels with red line tires
46,000 original miles
Original bill of sale, window sticker & owner's manual
$22,628.00 mechanical overhaul
This 46,000 original-mile coupe fires right up, accelerates smoothly and slides into every gear. The interior is in exceptional original condition. The exterior is very straight with great panel fit and very good paint. This car was bought from the original owner's estate in 2007 with 45,000 miles, then the new owner gave it to a Jaguar mechanic, who subsequently did a complete mechanical overhaul. I have the receipts for this work, which total $22,628. You know you have a great car when it comes with the original bill of sale, owner's manual, service book, window sticker, Jaguar Heritage Certificate and pages of maintenance receipts. This car has all of that and MORE!
Mechanics, as described above, this Jaguar is a fantastic driving car. You can see from the receipts, which I scanned and posted at the end of the ad, that this beauty recently (just 1,000 miles ago) had a complete overhaul, including significant upgrades. The headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals all work. The suspension and shocks feel very good and the tires have only approximately 1,000 miles on them. The cars starts, runs and stops well enough to be used as a daily driver. It stays at "normal" operating temperature with no overheating issues. The clutch and transmission are as good as I've experienced in any E-type Jaguar and have a better, more original feel than any of the concours-quality restored XKE's that we've owned.
Exterior, This car appears to have been repainted in the original white color several years ago. The paint is bright and shiny with only a couple of areas that are showing any wear. The glass, metalwork and overall rubber are all in very good condition with no significant blemishes. The panel fit is excellent and the bonnet closes easily.
Interior, The black leather interior is in exceptional condition. The seats, dash and center console show very little wear and appear to be original to the car. The gauges and interior lights are in good working order. The original Phillips stereo works great and the upgraded air conditioning blows nice and cold.
Misc, This car has a clean and clear title, which we have in-house. It also comes with the original Bill of Sale, original window sticker, a Jaguar Heritage certificate, original owner's manual, original service book, maintenance receipts and original tools.
