Ebay item 11/4/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type/223734360447
Opening bid US $24,900, no reserve, no bids 9 days left in auction buy it now price $43,500, seller rfythe3rd, 48k miles.
Seller's description:
I’m selling a 1969 Jaguar Coupe XK E type, 4.2 manual transmission. 48,000 miles.
I bought this vehicle to resell it. Owner of this vehicle died and his family sold me the Jaguar. The Jaguar was originally purchased in 1969 by a local businessman who bought it as a graduation gift for his daughter. Some time after the mid 70s the second owner who I bought the car from purchase it. The current license plates on the car expired in 1989. The car has been stored in a garage with a concrete floor for nearly 30 years.
The overall condition of this Jaguar is very nice. If your looking for a car you can clean up and drive this is the one for you. I changed the oil, replaced the master cylinder and slave value, new disturbed cap, points, rotor, clean points on the fuel pump, fresh gas, new caps on brake/clutch fluid compartments, new battery, new tires and a bath. After all that the car starts up and runs down the road just fine. I have put 150 miles on it. It’s fun to drive and quick. Handles like the sports car it is. I’m sure as you use the car more and it ages there will be minor things that will need replaced or repaired. No rust or deteriorating metal. Shows some very minor surface rust on the bottom but generally very good condition. I believe the previous owner sprayed some type of oil on the underbody. The paint is good condition and has a nice shine. No dents a few minor chips in the paint. The rubber around the windows is dried and cracking in some places, mostly around the front windshield. All the glass and light lens are good. The chrome has a good shine but shows very small pit marks throughout. The spoke wheels need an extreme detail. I’m not going to take the time to clean those spokes one by one but I’m sure after their cleaned they will look very nice. Interior is in good condition, no rips in the seats, the steering wheel is intact and usable but show signs of weakness around the 50 year old mahogany wheel. All the gauges work. All the lights work. The Jag doesn’t leak any fluid. The heater is not blowing air, the air-conditioning pump spins but I believe the system needs charged with coolant. I have a clean title that reads actual miles 48,000. The serial tag in the window and door match the serial number on the title. The title says 1969, the door tag says January 1970. I am located in Green Ohio.
