Ebay item 2/10/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $8,000 no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. 59k miles, manual trans.

Sellers description:
This timeless classic is a Willow Green coupe with beige interior and has factory AC, telescoping steering wheel, knock-off wire wheels, period-correct mesh air cleaners for the Stromberg carbs, and all original glass. These cars are fast becoming a serious collector car. Don't miss your chance to own "the most beautiful car in the world". Current trends indicate that this car could really appreciate in value. According to the factory production numbers for 1969, only 2,392 of these cars were produced for the world. It is even more rare given that it includes the factory AC.

This car has been in storage since 1982 and is complete and ready for restoration. Some minor rust, is found on the hood (surface rust) and on the sill (rust through) below the driver's door and in the rear driver's side fenderwell. Overall, it is not bad considering the age of the vehicle, and can be repaired fairly easily.

Footwells have been replaced and riveted in. Radio has been removed.

Items that we know it needs:

* Clutch
* Brake overhaul
* Exhaust system
* Rust repair
* Paint
* Battery

We have been as honest as we can about the condition of this vehicle.

Buyer is responsible for shipment of the vehicle, but seller can assist with transportation if the buyer's location is within 200 miles of Atlanta, Georgia.

As per additional information from the seller I added the manufactures date off of the tag on the driver's side door jam.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
