Car to be at auction 3/25
www.aguttes.com//lot/160416/28372195-jaguar-type-e-serie-2-coupe-1970-chassis-nd ...?
Auction description:
1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Coupe
Estimate €55,000 - €75,000
Aguttes - La Vente de Printemps, Paris, France
16 March, 2025
Lot 20
Our example was delivered new on February 20, 1970 to Donald Carson, from Sunnyvale, California, as evidenced by a copy of its warranty booklet. The car was first registered in France in 1991, in Dieppe to be precise, before joining the current owner's collection in 1998.
Today, the car is still in good general condition: its bodywork, probably repainted just before purchase, is still beautiful, and its upholstery has an interesting patina. In 2022, the replacement of the floors, which were corroded at the time, was carried out by the specialists at Espace Century. Its operation is also very satisfactory, thanks to the meticulous and regular maintenance that its owner has offered it since its purchase (all of which is documented in the file, available on request). In recent years, major work has been done on the clutch system, brakes, exhaust and carburetion.
Here is the opportunity to add to your collection a Type E Coupé in very good condition both in terms of operation and presentation, for a fraction of the price of the Series 1 3.8 versions!
