This Jaguar E Type 4.2 litre 2+2 Automatic Series 2 is an original UK Right Hand Drive car built for the UK market and sold new by Archers of Solihull on 27 September 1969. The car is finished in the classic colour scheme of Signal Red with contrasting Beige leather trim and fitted with chrome wire wheels. The car comes with a Heritage Certificate confirming these details and a history file showing the car had a major mechanical and body overhaul during 1981.
The engine was rebuilt and fitted with new carburattors, many new panels including a new bonnet were fitted. The interior was re-trimmed and a new odometer was fitted. It has only done 17,373 miles since then backed up by old MoTs. A very good straight car that sits well on the road, is sound mechanically and is a pleasure to drive. The car comes with a good history file with many invoices and old MoTs to back up its history. A very good usable classic E Type.
