- Regular use dry weather car
- 5,000 miles since engine overhaul in 2011
- Offered with file of receipts, manuals, wiring diagram, etc.
Finished in Ocean Blue with Blue-piped Cream leather upholstery, this striking right-hand drive 2+2 E-Type has had eight keepers to date, and is equipped with the optional automatic transmission. It has been the subject of continual maintenance in recent years that's included the following: 2010 - general service and repairs (£2,438); 2011 - engine overhaul (£4,682), new chrome wire wheels (£1,076); 2014 - rechromed bumpers (£355), new clock £188; 2015 - complete re-upholstery of the interior (£3,500). The vendor informs us that 'UAC 99G' has been in regular dry use, goes well and has completed some 5,000 miles since the engine overhaul. He currently rates the Coupe bodywork, paintwork, 4.2-litre XK engine and four-speed automatic transmission as 'good' and, not surprisingly, the newly refurbished interior as 'excellent'. He is now offering the Jaguar complete with a folder of receipts for the work above (not to mention a host of other lesser items), workshop manuals, wiring diagrams etc, plus an MOT valid to September 13th 2016. In the vendor's own words 'this is a good, tidy, reliable, entry level E-Type on which everything is in working order'.

Auction description:
Lot number 58
Sale Price Not Sold
Make & Model Jaguar E-Type S2 2+2 Automatic
Registration UAC 99G
Year 1969
Colour Blue
Engine Size 4,235 cc
Chassis No. 1R35240BW
Engine No. 7R36223-9
Documents V5C; many old MOTs; many invoices back to 1999
This Series 2 2+2 Automatic is a UK car that was sold new via George Kidd Motors of Leamington Spa in April 1969 and comes with records of all nine owners that it has had since. There are many invoices on file detailing work carried out over the last 20 years or so, the main one being for a full engine rebuild by VSE in 2011 which cost £4,681 since when the car has only covered some 5,300 miles.
Other invoices of note include: new stainless steel exhaust in 2002; new door seals and other trim/service items in 2010 (£2,438); new chrome wire wheels in 2011 (£1,076); bumpers rechromed (£355) and a new clock fitted (£188) in 2014; interior retrim in 2015 (£3,500) plus much else besides.
Our vendor acquired the car in December 2015 but has barely used it due to illness, the last MOT having expired in September 2016. Recently fitted with a new battery, the car is said to run and drive well but is now in need of attention to the bodywork to restore it to its former glory.
