First registered in June 1969, this Carmen Red 2+2 is one of those rare UK market cars and has had just six owners to date, the vendor acquiring it in 2010 from a gentleman who had owned it for 14 years and kept it well maintained for regular tours of the Continent. A 'matching numbers' example, it is fitted with a full-length fabric sunroof which just adds to the driving pleasure on those long summer days which lie ahead of us.
Supplied with a good file of invoices to show regular upkeep over the last 20+ years, the vendor has recently fitted a new clutch kit, electronic ignition and a stainless steel exhaust system. He has also treated the car to a top quality retrim by renowned Jaguar specialists, BAS International of Cwmbran. Also on file are many old MOTs back to 1988, a current MOT valid until October 2018 and an original owner's handbook.
Only sparingly used in the current ownership and always kept garaged, this attractive E-Type started promptly and ran nicely as we moved it around for these photos and is due to be driven some 70 miles to the sale.
