www.moto-drome.com/about-motodrome/current-stock/1970-jaguar-e-type-4-2-s2-22-ma ...
1970 E Type 4.2 S2 2+2 Manual. Its very original and unlike most has never been derelict, rebuilt or restored, has had just 2 owners from new and has a warranted mileage of 79,000 miles. Chassis 1R35575 is an original RHD example first registered on 2 January 1970. Her first owner kept her for 6 years and 68,000 miles before being purchased by the last owner in 1978, who cherished it ever since, kept it garaged, and put a further 11,000 miles on. Finished in its original colour scheme of Light Blue with a Dark Blue leather interior. It is equipped with chrome wire wheels, new wheels and tyres fitted in 2020, electronic ignition, stainless steel exhaust, heated rear screen, and period radio/8 track player, although the 8 track doesn't work. It is a rare colour, apparently only 6 RHD examples were thus finished.
Exterior wise, it doesn't seem to ever have had a complete respray, although most areas have had remedial paintwork, hence after 54 years there are one or two minor blemishes, but the paintwork still looks vibrant as the photos attest. Interior wise, original except for new carpets and the leather has been connolised. Chrome work is original with minor marks but overall is pretty fine. Mechanically it is standard except for electronic ignition. The rear suspension was rebuilt a few years ago. It comes with a sheaf of invoices and old MoTs dating back to 1978. It drives as you would expect, delightfully. You don't often see a two owner, low mileage car, as it must have done when new in 1970.
