Car was at auction 4/06
www.classicauctions.co.uk/cars_results_index.html

Auction description:
1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 2+2
ORIGINAL RHD CAR, MANUAL & ALLOY WHEELS
Lot 56
Status NOT SOLD
Estimate £10000 - 12000
Mileage 23000
Colour RED
Trim Colour BEIGE
Chassis No IR35640
Engine No 7L6256-8
Registration BHY 94H
CC 4235
M.O.T APRIL 2007
Finished in red with beige leather upholstery, this particular UK market example is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition with regard to its engine, four-speed manual gearbox, electrical equipment, chassis, paintwork and wheels / tyres (though, the interior trim is considered "good / worn" and the bonnet is stated to "need attention"). Believed to have covered 22,000 miles since 1989 (a figure apparently supported by an appropriate run of old MOT certificates), BHY 94H has been in the current Jaguar Club member ownership for the last five years. Said to be an "extremely good runner in very good mechanical order", it sports an "upgraded stainless steel exhaust plus six branch manifold" and rides on "specially commissioned 'minilite' alloy wheels" shod with fresh tyres. Intended to "carry a full 12 months MOT at the time of sale", this family friendly E-type offers an enviable blend of style and practicality.

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle has an MOT until April 2007.

I sent this car to auction and when it was unsold brought it back home and I decided to refurbish the car to original condition. The incorrect Signal Red is now Regency Red as it left the factory and the interior is refurbished with new beige leather. I am pleased it did not sell. The car is now stunning.

I have just noticed that your car was manufactured immediately ahead of mine on the production line. TWN 3H 1R35641 BW

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
