Ebay item 11/9/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1969-Jaguar-2-2-E-Type-XKE-Coupe-Classic_W ...
Opening bid $5,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This car is in decent condition with no visible rust on the body. The car 's white finish is in good condition. The car comes with a full car cover in the trunk. There is also an included lug wrench for taking off the wheels. There is an original jaguar tool case with original tools in it. There is an owners manual. The passenger door opens from the outside with a key, probably needs some lubrication of some sort. The passenger door opens fine from the inside at all times. All other doors work great. The headliner could use a repair or replacement.

The engine in the vehicle has been replaced with a 1969 LT1 350 cu in. original corvette motor. It is a series 1 iron head with 20% more horsepower than a series II with aluminum heads. The engine has aluminum corvette valve cases.

The car has an automatic transmission with a jag or a chevy 350 turbo, I am not sure. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes. The rear end is original with the swing arm with dual koni shocks. The carburator is a 4 barrel Edelbrock. There is a chrome circular air filter that comes with the car but it does not fit under the hood when closed, good for showing the car when needed.

The car has new spark plugs and wires and cap. The tires are in good form. The car uses normal unleaded gas at the pumps around town. The car needs the washer squirters hooked up and the horn to be hooked up, they are not functioning presently. The speedometer needs to be connected again with graphite applied.

All the electrical works: lights; blinkers; flashers; etc.

The seats have actually been refinished and look great. New leather/vinyl front and rear.
I have disclosed as much as I have been able to find out about this beautiful and classic car. To the best of my ability everything that I have stated is accurate. I have the title for the car and it is clean and clear.

I have driven the car and it drives very very well. The engine has great power and it cruises well. The tires could use a balance. Very fun to drive with most everyone looking and admiring when you roll past.

This car is ready for someone to complete the restoration and, with some work, the car will come around nicely into a show car once again.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
