    Sellers description:
    1969 Jaguar XKE Project

You get a running and driving 2+2, The 2+2 has a clear title.

This car runs and drives nicely. It needs restoration, but is all there and mechanically sound. Expect to flush brake lines and fuel lines to drive regularly. Leaks some oil. This car is just out of long storage. It has a decent set of 185-15 redline Michelins, and a 4.2L with a 4-speed manual. A lot of the 2+2s were automatics. The exhaust resonators or tips look nearly new. Basically this is an unmodified old car that is complete and easily restored. Floors do not appear to be rusty. Minor rust in RR fender lip (see photo). Would need paint, interior and weatherstripping, new engine gaskets and probably some brake/clutch hydraulic work to be restored. The engine does not smoke, knock or overheat. The transmission shifts smoothly. The steering is good. The car stops and starts well.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
