Sellers description:
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and completely rust free example of this rare original Arizona owner 1969 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series II 2+2 coupe with it's original matching number 6 cylinder 4.2L/246HP engine with only 44K fully documented miles!
The car is a mostly all original survivor which has always been garaged and covered since new by its only owner, an older and mature retired and respected Tuscon, Arizona lawyer, in its original and rare (1969-74 only) factory 'Sable' color with a gorgeous Tan leather interior with desirable original factory options including;
Air conditioning,
automatic transmission,
chrome turbo disc wheels,
tinted glass,
AM/FM radio with manual antenna,
disc brakes,
heater,
leather upholstery,
dual exhausts,
windshield washer,
adjustable steering wheel,
back up lights,
tachometer,
clock,
safety belts,
outside mirror,
padded dash
and with its original owners manuals, window sticker and all service records and invoices since new!
The car was always garaged and covered by its dry desert climate, Tuscon, Arizona owner who purchased the car from 'Thomas Imported cars' of Tuscon, Arizona on 1/22/1970. The floor boards, trunk areas and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has had no accidents and has a very straight body. It's striking 'Sable' color paint is in exceptionally fine condition and mostly all original from what we can tell and the car looks extremely impressive and striking with a lovely Tan leather interior with the seats, door panels, headliner, dashboard and carpets all in very fine condition with no real noticeable flaws apart from maybe a very minor nick on the threshold entry to the drivers seat. The car has all of it's original chrome turbo disc wheels and it's original spare wheel and tools are located in the trunk. All the options are working as they should including the air conditioning!
The car boasts 44K original miles which are fully documented with all the original and only owners service records since new! Meticulously kept in a thick file for each of the five decades since purchased! Quite extraordinary and extremely desirable for any serious collector! The car has always been serviced on schedule and from looking at this impressive records it is obvious that at no time was any expense spared on this particular vehicles preventive maintenance. A recent full service confirms as much with everything from wiper blades and battery cables to exhaust mountings, transmission mounts and the upper master brake cylinder having been replaced or repaired.
The original matching #'s 4.2L 6 cylinder engine with 44K original miles purrs smoothly under the hood and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears - an absolute pleasure to drive without any of the older Jaguar typical shakes or rattles or hesitations - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for its money!
This is therefore an extremely rare opportunity to own a great daily driving and mostly all original unrestored and always rust free survivor of a stunning desert owned 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 4.2L 2+2 in exceptionally fine condition throughout, with only one mature and careful driving owner since new, being offered as a great daily driver or collectible for any English classic car lover or Jaguar enthusiast!
