This 1970 Fixed Head Coupe E-Type Series 2 Jaguar with only 47,000 miles, is a magnificent example of one of Britain's most desirable and legendary sports cars. All numbers match. It was completely refurbished in 2004 by a British Master Mechanic with over forty years experience with Jaguar motor cars. The car is finished in opalescent gold paint professionally applied by a top quality paint shop specializing in rare and exotic automobiles. The interior trim and seating is "desert tan" in color and the condition is flawless. All body seals including window seals have been renewed. A new headliner has been installed. Front and rear bumpers plus overriders have been triple chrome plated. Extensive, major overhauls have been completed on mechanical components as follows: Both carburetors, alternator, steering rack, suspension ball joints, both cooling fan motors, brake master cylinder, brake booster and hydraulic cylinder, clutch master and slave cylinders, entire rear suspension. All coolant hoses have been renewed, all brake rotors are new, re-manufactured calipers and new brake pads have been installed. The exhaust system has been renewed from front to rear and is complete with stainless steel extension pipes, resonators and tail pipes. Driveline U-joints have been renewed and the fuel pump has been re-built. The 4.2 liter, 6 cylinder, in line hemi engine with 9:1 compression ratio (developing approx 270 HP) and 4 speed transmission are both in excellent condition with no leaks, knocks or noises. There is no history of accidents of any kind. The car has been thoroughly inspected mechanically, electrically and bodily to absolutely ensure it's functionality, reliability, safety, value and appearance.
