Ebay item 6/22/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $3,501.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is an Original JAGUAR 1967 XKE 2+2!

Featured in this vehicle is full leather interior. The hood you see here is a Jaguar 1 1/2 Hood. It needs the glass covers, chrome rings, and a right side bumper. (left is attached)

The gas tank on the vehicle was removed because the gas turned to varnish, we are including it - but believe you may need another tank - and a full exhaust system from the manifolds back.

The condition of the car is great overall - there is little to no rust on this car and it has been in covered storage for 20+ years! The rust that is on the car is underneath and is superficial.

We are also including the following items: Original fan/heater, and an additional wire rim to the other 4 that are currently on the vehicle. The tires will need to be replaced as well.

Once again, this has been in storage for 20+ years with the second owner.

The interior is all stock as well, and can be seen in the photos. The headliner was taken out. ALL the gauges work and there is NO mildew inside. The leather is in great shape - and is a little cracked here and there but for its age, I could say wow.

The engine is powerful, although the car does not start and work needs to be done - we are told it works well. This auction is for the Restoration Project enthusiast! This vehicle with the right work could be worth over 30,000+. It has its original paint on it, and the most shocking thing of all, its ORIGINAL MILES ARE 28,252. This has obviously been babied before it was put into storage and then some.

The gauges in the car are the following: MPH, Tach, Battery, Oil, Fuel (to name a few)

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
