Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 roadster.

This S2 has just had a complete mechanical restoration and is in first class condition.

ENGINE
Cylinder head was removed cleaned and pressure tested before new Guides and exhaust valves were installed. Engine was cleaned and painted before instalation.
Clutch was checked for wear .

SUSPENSION
The suspension was removed from the car sand blasted and re-plated. New suspension bushes and balljoint's were replaced at this time. Steering rack was stripped and inspected before installation. All new fastners was used through out

FUEL SYSTEM.
Gas tank was removed cleaned and coated before it was painted gloss black. New fuel line's and filter were also replaced. Carb's were also rebuilt.

EXHAUST SYSTEM is a Stainless system which is a little louder then the stock steel system.

REAR SUSPENSION seems to be in good condition but not recieved a rebuild.

All engine bay component's were removed and restored back to original Jaguar spec's. ENGINE BAY COMPARTMENT IS LIKE NEW!!

BRAKES. Front caliper's have been rebuilt and new brake lines through out the front.

WIRING.New Wiring Harness was installed in the engine compartment and behind the dash.

Everything seems to work apart from the clock.

INTERIOR.
I think the seats, door panels and carpets are original but the center console and sill panels have been replaced. The convertible top is brand new.

PAINTWORK probably 10 years old but still in excellent condition. There are a few minor scratches around the car but nothing that stands out. There are also a couple of small dents on the hood.

BODY. I can not find any major rust on the car. There is a lot of under-coat underneath the car as you can see in the pictures. I pulled the carpet up and there is a little surface rust but nothing major. There are no rust bubble's anywhere.

If you are looking for a XKE you can get in and drive and enjoy this is the car for you. It has recently recieved a complete mechanical rebuild and is in great condition and ready to drive. Car is located in Clearwater Florida. Inspection highly recomended.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
