Ebay item 4/3/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $15,600.00 (Reserve not met), 13 bids, 6 days left in auction. 62k miles.
Sellers description:
This E -Type roadster is an excellent example of an unrestored "driver" which was lovingly owned by the same gentleman for 24 years. The following condition report is given with the spirit of accuracy. We pride ourselves in the integrity of our representations - check our feedback. Make no mistake - this is not a show car , not a trailer queen but a car that can be enjoyed every day. We have not glorified its condition in words, photos or by massaging its condition using short term restorative techniques. It is a car that in the words of the Jaguar technician who checked it over " it is too nice to restore and not nice enough to be showboated." This original roadster will only appreciate in value. Mechanically it is in excellent condition and has just been throughly serviced. The engine performs beautifully - no leaks or smoking - the 4 speed manual transmission shifts flawlessly. This car has a feel that a restored car which has been completely taken apart and put back together again cannot duplicate. It is tight and precise -not remote and rubbery. No evidence of any accident damage. All numbers match. It has been repainted in its original primrose yellow and has excellent luster. The floors are solid. The gaps are good everywhere but at the lower corner of the passenger door where it sticks out a little. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition and the tires are near new. Believe it or not but all the lights and electrical components work! The tachometer reads high and the wiper blades are toast. There are no service records. The interior is original - the leather seats are in remarkable condition - wonderful patina - the carpets could be replaced, and the console area could be tidied up. The driver's door panel is loose as is a chrome accent on the panel. The rubber gasket around the rear bumper is tired. The window felts seem fine. The engine compartment and spare tire well could be detailed and would greatly enhance the look but we sell our cars as they are for the buyer who appreciates originality. The top and rear window look good but there is a small hole in the top. You could patch or replace. The tools are complete, there is a owner's manual and shop manual and the tonneau cover is in good shape. We have title documentation of the previous owner from 1980. This car is available for prepurchase inspection prior to end of bidding. You could drive this one anywhere. We have been dedicated to offering personally selected well loved vehicles since 1976 - bid with confidence.

Currently (Nov 2018) on E Bay UK for £13.5k with 9 days to go. Looks complete now with triple carbs. Evidence of rot in the floors and appears that restoration has started but stalled.
