Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XK-E roadster (vin # 1R7742, body #4R1819, engine #7R2518-9 gear box #KE4000) burgandy exterior with soft kid glove tan leather interior. This car was restored approx. 3,000 miles ago (6 years, complete nut and bolt restoration by Dennis Whitchurch) with very limited use since. No rust ever. Garage-kept and covered with a high end flannel car cover (included with the purchase of the car). The engine was disassembled, rebuilt, and resealed, along with the transmission and new clutch fitted. The engine runs like new, shifts as it should and drives with no known issues. All gauges work as they should with very good oil pressure. No electrical issues at all. The body was stripped and painted (base coat/clear coat). Chrome is in excellant condition with no dents or dings. The body has no dents or dings. All weatherstripping is new and fits properly. The interior was replaced with the correct type and a new top was fitted. The tops frame was rebuilt and painted before the instulation of the top (tan in color). New fluid bottles, clutch, & brake were replaced along with new and correct spark plug wires. The valve covers were changed from the ribbed black valve covers to the polished ones and the original ones are included in the sale. The correct jack, knock-off hammer, and center knock-off tool are included. The wire wheels are in very good condition with no rust. Spare tire is included. If you like working on a car, this is not the car for you as it needs nothing except to be driven. It has the correct period radio that works. Present owner has had the car for the last six years driving on nice days and going to car shows with several 1st place awards.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
