2 May 2013 on Bring a Trailer:
This 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster (Chassis 1R8040) is being offered by Rickey Minor, Jay Leno's band leader. Rickey has had the car since 2009 and in that time has driven it in nice weather around the LA area, and has had the car mechanically looked after by Robert Lyman in Hollywood. The car is in top condition according to the seller, with a new clutch installed and full tuning just last month. It is available in Burbank, California for $49,500 obo.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
