Car was advertised on the web by:
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $27,000 reserve not met, 8 bids, 2 days left in auction. 34k miles.

Sellers description:
Offered for sale is an outstanding, well preserved specimen that has been in auto collections for the past 22 years. It is in show condition, but it is not concours prepared. All mechanical and electrical systems function properly and the car is aesthetically superb – the paint, top, interior, and engine compartment are sanitary and the body is free of defects, rust, or dents. We believe that this motorcar would rate a very strong #3+ in its present condition, and it requires very little detailing to be a #2 show winning automobile.

Lot #90673

This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was acquired by the seller in 2017 and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in red over black upholstery, the car is equipped with a black soft top along with 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, chrome bumpers and trim, dual Stromberg carburetors, an aftermarket exhaust system, and Smiths instrumentation. Service during current ownership included overhauling the cylinder head as well as replacing the brake master cylinder and cooling and ignition system components. This XKE shows 93k miles and is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, partial service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body was factory-finished in Primrose Yellow and was refinished in the current shade of red under prior ownership. Exterior details include chrome trim and bumpers with overriders along with a black soft top. Blemishes and bubbles are present around the body.

Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/75 American Classic tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units, and the master cylinder was replaced in June 2021. The full-size spare found in the rear storage area is non-functional.

The cabin features bucket seats that were reupholstered in black vinyl under prior ownership. Equipment includes hand-crank windows, lap belts, an analog clock, an aftermarket shift knob, a locking glove compartment, and a heater.

The Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 3k of which were added during current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual overhead camshafts and twin Stromberg carburetors. A top-end engine overhaul was completed in March 2017 and included replacing the head gasket, valves, valve guides and springs, and engine studs. The radiator and cooling fans were replaced in December 2017 and the coil, distributor cap, ignition rotor, and condenser were replaced in January 2022. The seller reports corrosion is present on the battery tray.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and fluid services for the transmission and differential were performed in October 2021. An aftermarket exhaust system has been installed. Corrosion is noted where the body panels meet the frame.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows factory colors and serial numbers along with a manufacture date of February 18, 1969. Service records from current ownership are also included with the sale.
