Car has a buy it now price of $63,995 for 20 days. Dallas, Texas
Sellers description:
Finished in stunning Signal Red, Beautifully restored, this one exhibits none of the usual E-Type issues. The long bonnet fits beautifully, the doors open and close effortlessly, and both the front and rear bumpers are seamlessly fitted to the body. Never a rusty car, it has obviously spent its life in a warm climate, and that's especially critical on Jaguars, which can rust in the most demonic ways possible.
Tan leather buckets invite you to come in and stay a while, and with the Series II upgrades, they became more comfortable for long trips. While an automatic transmission was added to the options sheet with the Series II, this one still sports a proper 4-speed manual, a revised gearbox that's almost as silky as the bodywork. Rocker switches still control all the secondary functions, and big, round Smiths gauges are a right British way to monitor the engine. That wood steering wheel is real wood, and sumptuous carpets give it a plush, luxurious feeling inside. The lone deviation from stock specification is an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit fitted in the original dash. There's not a lot of trunk space, but enough for a weekend getaway, and it includes a full tool kit.
You'll be pleased to note the chassis is completely rust free, the exhaust and fuel pump are new, and it wears proper 15-inch redline tires on gorgeous chrome wire wheels.
It is as fast as it is beautiful, and thanks to a high-quality restoration, this E-Type roadster can be driven anywhere with confidence.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is finished in Signal Red with a tan soft top over tan leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six fitted with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential, and further equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, disc brakes, and 15″ wire wheels. The seller purchased the car in 2012 and has since added approximately 8k miles. This XKE roadster is now offered with an owner’s manual, a tool kit, partial service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car features a louvered clamshell hood, sealed-beam open headlights, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. A replacement tan soft top was installed in 2005. The seller notes various paint imperfections around the body.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Toyo tires measuring 205/70. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. Service in 2024 involved replacing the brake master cylinder, brake pads, and tires.
The seller tells us that the interior was redone under previous ownership. It features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. An Alpine CD stereo has been added, and further appointments include a heater, a locking glovebox, and manual-crank windows. The seller notes intermittent electrical issues.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as auxiliary gauges and an inoperative clock. Records in the gallery note that the gauges were replaced in 2005 and that the tachometer was repaired in 2013. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The carburetors were rebuilt in 2011, and the starter motor was replaced in 2018. Work in 2024 involved replacing the battery along with the fuel pump and filter.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid was changed and the clutch assembly was replaced in 2018.
A tool kit and service records will accompany the car.
