Ebay item 11/2/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-E-type-Time-Capsule-Less-than-43k-Documented ...
Car has a buy it now price of $55,000 for 9 days. 42k miles.
Sellers description:
This Jaguar is a true time capsule, with less than 43k documented original miles. She is completely original, excluding her paint and top. Of course she is complete numbers matching! It is getting harder to find these Jaguar's in such an original condition. This is Jaguar history in her purist form. Please read the description of this awesome Jaguar below. Do not miss your chance to own a true example of Jaguar history.
BODY: The body on this Jaguar is all original! There are no signs of body repairs anywhere. ALL of the factory spot welds are visible as they should be. All of the original nuts, bolts, rivets and appointments are as they should be every piece is original. There is no rust anywhere on the body. The floors are extremely solid. All of the shut lines are perfect. The bonnet is a hair off but is easily adjustable, and is presentable as is. The paint is not the original color. The original color was the primrose yellow. The Jaguar was painted to the original owners taste, to a period correct Jaguar Carmen red paint code. The paint was laid exceptionally well and only shows a couple of minor paint chips and scratches. The entire vehicle was repainted professionally. The chrome and bright work is of high show quality. All of the glass is perfect. The rear boot emblems are perfect. The front motif bar emblem is okay. The wheels are presentable and only show minor use.
INTERIOR: The interior is all original and is in amazing shape. The seats show no wear and look brand new. The dash is perfect. The gauges are clear and blemish free. The switches are perfect. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather to preserve the wood. The wood is in good shape. The carpet is in good shape and only needs vacuumed. The top is newer and the fit is flawless. The door panels are close to perfect and the chrome appointments are great. The only flaw in this original interior is the arm rest, which shows some normal patina.
MECHANICAL: The vehicle performs how a well preserved, 40k documented mileage vehicle should. She fires right up and drives well. The gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears. The brakes perform well. The tires are in okay condition and should be replaced in the future. There are no leaks whatsoever, excluding a small drip from the drain plug on the gearbox. All of the electrical components are functioning as they should. The oil pressure is perfect.
