Ebay item 4/22/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-series-2-ROADSTER-E-type_W0QQitemZ28049652 ...
Opening bid $40,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I have owned this car for 35 years. It is an awesome, solid, fun car to drive, and I know it will bring the new owner the same fun and enjoyment. The roadster body with the top down, original signal red color, and the black leather interior, make this car the ultimate XKE. It runs great and sounds great, it is an attention getter beyond imagination, (1969 series 2) It is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever built. Covered in my garage for 35 years, driven often, but only on nice days, never driven in the rain, it is just plain fun...

This has been a 20 year restoration project, very original, a few tiny areas of surface rust, a few small dings and scratches, you must look close to find, could be shown.

1. body off restoration, all matching numbers, new paint with original paint color,

2. complete engine rebuild, new clutch, new aluminum fly wheel, 4 speed transmission rebuilt with, bearings, syncro rings, and seals

3. complete brake system rebuild, master cylinder, new brake lines, calipers, pads, power servo ect.

4. electrical: many new wiring harnesses, all new rocker switches, lights, cooling fan motors, and much more.

5. new tires, wheels, interior, top, stainless steel exhaust, and much much more.
