Car to be at auction 10/20/07
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

Auction description:
The Spirit of Motoring Ascot
Saturday 20th October 2007
1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Roadster
Registration no: XGC 695M
Chassis no: 1S218813W
Estimate: £28,000-32,000
Lot 347

Competitively priced, this very well presented Jaguar - which sits on the desirable and optional chrome wire rather than standard fitment steel wheels - is finished in striking Azure Blue, set off by a dark blue mohair hood, which is in very good condition, and a dark tan leather interior. Manufactured on the 18th November 1973, and with only 68,000 recorded miles on the odometer from new, this car has automatic transmission and is supplied with all MoT certificates dating back to 1980 and some old road fund licence discs. In very good condition mechanically and bodily, the E Type underwent a full bare metal re-spray two months ago, and new carpets throughout and a new gearbox have recently been fitted. Supplied with the car is a current MoT test certificate valid for a year and a V5 registration document, together with a large file of bills including recent invoices totalling £20,000.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
