37,000 MILES, ON EBAY 02/08, SELLER WRITES: This is a stunning classic car with one owner and only 37,000 miles, most of them put on driving between Nebraska and the Indy 500! This 1974 model was the last of its type.

It's a gorgeous racing red with a black leather interior. The body was recently completely restored. This baby runs well and the carburetors have recently been rebuilt. The tires, seat and top are all like new. It has the original wire wheels, and it has been very well-protected and cared for in our garage.

A cover for the top when the top is down is included. The car does not have AC (not that you need it with the top down!), the radio doesn't work, and the tachometer doesn't work. If it is kept in a warm climate, the cooling system will need to be replaced, and the estimated cost for that is $3,500.

This pretty baby has never been in an accident. We bought it new. It was in Nebraska from date of purchase in 1974 until 1995, when we moved it to Arizona.

Current bid $20,000 reserve not met 1 bid 9 days left in auction. 37k miles.

Sellers description:
Gorgeous classic Jaguar from the original owner! This 1974 XKE-V12 is a blast to drive and beautiful to look at. The carburetor has been completely rebuilt, and the gas tank refurbished. The rest of the engine compartment is original and mechanically sound. The paint is new but not the original color (which was primrose). The seats and top are new, the tires are like new, and the rest of the interior has normal wear and tear. There is no AC, and the radio and tachometer do not work. The cooling system needs repair.

If you're going to license the car in Arizona, I should be able to transfer the XKE V12 personalized license plate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
