6/25/04 Car offered for sale at:
www.barons-auctions.com/lots/NWJ52K.htm

Sellers description:
The Series Three E-Type was a heavily modified version of the its predecessors. The car was wider and longer, it had a wider track and beefier wheels and tyres but most importantly, it had 285bhp on tap and could outperform most of the opposition with its 140+mph and startling acceleration.

Unlike the S1 and S2, the S3 came in two, rather than three forms. You could either have a roadster or a fixed head coupe, which were both built on the same wheelbase. The fixed head offered 2+2 accommodation and the roadster had extra luggage space behind the front seats.

The example offered here is a fixed head coupe, which is said to have benefited from a full restoration, including new doors, new sills, overhaul of all of the mechanics, new carpets and new wire wheels, hubs and spinners.

Finished in red with black leather interior, the car is equipped with the desirable manual transmission, is said to be in good order throughout and is offered complete with an extensive history file, previous MoT certificates, a list of previous owners and the original steel wheels.

Note: This description is provided by the vendor and unless otherwise stated is 'Not Verified' by Barons or any person employed by Barons. Prospective purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any statements made, whether they be statements of fact or opinion.
Estimate: £10,000 to £12,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
